Week 3 - Raiders v. Chargers

The Raiders won the toss, took the ball, and it didn't take long for the offense to get moving. Big passes form Owen Tyler to Will Simons and tough running by Jonathan Aljoe, Cole Stabnick, and Tommy Jamin lead to the first score of the day, a beautiful TD pass from Tyler to Simons, extra point no good, 6-0 Raiders. The swarming Raider defense held the potent Charger rushing attack at bay, forcing a punt in their first series. Jamin had two beautiful runs, the second ending in a TD for the Raiders, and Simons caught the extra point pass to make the score 14-0. After the defense forced another punt, Tyler and Jamin hooked up on a long TD pass, and Stabnick ran in the extra point to make the score 21-0 Raiders at the half. On the opening kickoff of the second half, Michael Squirewell got to the outside of the defense and ran it all the way back for a Chargers TD, and Octavio Thomas added the extra point to make the score 21-7 Raiders. The Raiders ground game opened huge holes for the backs all day, led by Max Bazzano John Rodriguez, Gus Kerin, Tajay Murdock, and Eric Glaude. The next Raider possession lead to another Jamin TD and Aljoe added the extra point to make the score 28-7. The Raider defense held the Chargers in check all day with big hits from Jamin, Tyler, Bazzano, Simons and Stabnick. On their last possession of the day, Stabnick found the end zone with a tough run up the middle to make the final score 34-7 in favor of the Raiders.
