Andrew Stabnick
Low Tide Photography
andrew@lowtidephoto.com

Originally from West Hartford, Connecticut, I returned to town in 1996 after living in Maine, Scotland and Brooklyn, New York. My passion for photography began over 20 years ago with the purchase of my first camera, a Minolta X700 (yes, I still own it). I am self-taught and experimented with color and black white film through college and law school. My photography has been sold in galleries and shops in SoHo, Greenwich Village, Grand Central Station, and Brooklyn Heights as well as being featured in Victoria Magazine, a national publication. I purchased my first digital camera a few years ago. I now shoot with a Nikon D300 and various lenses, including a 17-55/2.8, 70-200/2.8, 50/1.4, and 200-400/4. I enjoy the creative control and immediate visual feedback provided by digital photography, but strive to create my photographic works with the camera rather than excessive manipulation through Photoshop. Most of my digital darkroom work involves techniques and filters used in a traditional darkroom.

I hope you've enjoyed my work. Please check back often as my portfolio grows.
